Making your own sneakers is really fun – choose from our excellent range of leather, eyelets, thread and shoelaces, and marvel at your own unique pair of self-made sneakers. This class is perfect for beginners, and more advanced makers will be able to jump ahead.
We start the day by choosing the leather to use for your shoes and getting you to try on a sample shoe to find the right size (we have all sizes from a Chinese Women’s 35 up to a Chinese Men’s size 44 – book a time to come and try a sample if you’re worried about sizing).
We take you through all the steps, with clear explanation and plenty of time to ask questions and chat with your fellow shoemakers. We offer snacks and drinks during the workshop and we’ll take a 1 hour break for lunch (lunch is not included). With a bit of light background music and great people, you’ll have a really relaxing and fun time!
You’ll finish the day by lacing up your new sneakers and feeling empowered by all you have achieved in just 1 day!

Do you have my size?
We offer all adult sizes from Chinese Women’s size 35 up to Men’s size 44 (fits an average width, 28.3cm long foot). Please measure your feet and let us know the length in advance of your workshop so we can make sure to prepare the correct size for you. Find out how to accurately measure your feet.
Which colours do you have?
We offer a wide range of leather colours. If you’re looking for something specific, please get in touch so we can work with you.
I’ve never made shoes before, is it difficult?
No worries, our workshops are aimed at beginners! The sneaker-making workshop mainly involves cutting out leather and punching holes, then using those holes to stitch everything together by hand. We give detailed instructions in the workshop and are always on hand for questions. It’s surprisingly easy and fun to make your own sneakers! Read about how to make your own sneakers.
